Wormhole Destinations for Sale or Rent

Published February 21, 2025
In his third Sci Fi novel Andrew Davis invites us into the life of young Estate Agent Molly. She never wanted to be an Estate Agent. With her qualifications, she feels that she deserves so much better. But she desperately needs to earn and so takes a job which she hates with Crouchback, Lockwood and Biddle. There’s a house on sale with the agency. Her boss sends her out to record its details. She’s told that the house would be empty, but is suddenly confronted by its owner, Miss Teece. Miss Teece shows her the view from her sitting room window. Molly’s life will never be the same again.
Physicists say that Einstein’s wormholes for ‘travelling’ intergalactic distances without traversing intervening space are merely theoretical. In practice, they insist, wormholes are impossible. But just suppose they were actually available to Estate Agents…
Planet Meno: The Origin of Species
Published February 21, 2025
In his second Sci Fi novel Andrew Davis takes readers into the far future and introduces teenagers Rod and Ida, who belong to Species Od. They use their wheels to move around on rail tracks within OdCity, where tyrannical Od families force their young to produce unnecessary new track. Ida discovers an endless railway line leading away from OdCity. Rod is alarmed, because OdCity tracks are always buffered at both ends. Despite Rod’s fears, Ida gets them to explore. Then the senior Temple priest Omdad suddenly seeks to recruit them. Why? And as Rod and Ida begin to unearth their history, just who or what is it that wants to hide Species Od’s tormented past? Moreover, their culture is dysfunctional and their sun dangerously unstable. Rod and Ida soon find that they are up against something both sinister and powerful. Can they rescue their nation from its parlous state?

Reader's Testimonial
What a great idea this was. Good because it borders on being believable! An environment in which there are some "non-human" children in a class with "human" children but not known as such by the "human" children. This leads to a story of in some ways parallel but connected lives. We learn of the development of this "non-human" community - of how it adapts and develops and of course clashes with the "human" community. This is an exciting story and well written. Lots of tension, very readable and an ending which suggests the possibility of a sequel. I could also see this a very watchable film with lots of action including a tunnel chase.
